38 Days and Counting...

It has been way too long since the last time I’ve updated this thing! Life and school has been so insanely busy that I have no idea where the time went! The last month has been stressful interviewing for an art director position at this camp I’ve wanted to work at for so long! Although after three interviews, it’s officially out of my hands and I’m hoping to hear from them soon. If I get the position, I will fly out to California, 5 days after we get back from Uganda!

Speaking of Uganda… we are officially leaving in 38 days, which is insane!!!! Last time I updated, we had about 100 days still to go! Our plane tickets have been purchased and we’re working on the last bit of our fund raising. I hadn’t raised any money since almost the last time I updated so I was starting to feel a bit nervous, as all of our money is officially due by the end of the month. However, within the last 2 weeks, about $1,800 has poured in. I’m not even sure where it all came from or how that happened. I’m waiting for one more check to arrive that someone committed to sending and then I will have $30 more than I need, which will go to someone else on my team.

This whole journey has been incredible. I’ve learned so much and have been completely blessed by God’s faithfulness! There have been some people that I was expecting to donate and didn’t even acknowledge that I was going, which was sometimes frustrating. But then there were those who I hardly even knew, who would constantly bless me with their love and give me more than they could probably afford. I’m so honored and so stinking blessed by the generosity of such strangers! I truly don’t know what I would do with out them!

So, in short, THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me so far through this journey! I love you all! :)
